I recently got my hands on the Shelly TRV, and I must say, it’s pretty impressive! The device itself is solid, but I’ve noticed a slight inconvenience with the physical button interface. To set the target temperature, you have to long-press and hold the up/down buttons, which feels a bit cumbersome. I’d love to have a simpler way to toggle between predefined ‘high’ and ‘low’ settings with just a short press.
I understand that this functionality might not be available with the official firmware, but that’s okay! One of the reasons I chose Shelly is their openness towards custom firmware solutions, like Tasmota. I’ve heard great things about the community support and the flexibility it offers.
Has anyone explored custom or open-source firmware options for the TRV? I’d love to hear about your experiences or any resources you might have come across.
