Exploring Ecolink WST-232 Compatibility with Hubitat

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home sensors lately and wanted to share my experiences, both the highs and the lows. I’ve been using the Ecolink Zigbee Wireless Door/Window Contact Sensor Model 4655BC0R for a while now, and it’s been a solid performer. However, I’ve noticed they’re becoming harder to find, which led me to explore alternatives.

I came across the Ecolink WST-232 as a potential replacement, but there’s a catch—it’s not listed on the Hubitat compatible devices page. This has me a bit puzzled. Has anyone had success using these sensors with Hubitat? I’d love to hear about your experiences or any tips you might have.

I’ve reached out to some community members for insights, and while waiting for their responses, I’ve been experimenting with different configurations. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m hopeful there’s a solution out there.

One thing I’ve learned is the importance of community support in navigating these challenges. It’s amazing how much you can achieve with the right advice and a bit of trial and error. I’m optimistic that with some persistence, I’ll find the perfect setup that works seamlessly with Hubitat.

If anyone has any advice or success stories to share, I’d be thrilled to hear them! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most of our smart home setups. Happy tinkering!
