Hi everyone, I’m diving into the world of home automation and have a few questions and experiences to share. First, I’ve been working on setting up the energy dashboard in Home Assistant. While I understand the basic functionality, I’m a bit puzzled about the absence of a ‘consumption’ node in the diagram. From what I gather, it should include solar production, battery, consumption, and grid, but HA only shows three. I’m curious if there’s a specific reason behind this design choice.
On another note, I’ve successfully integrated an ESP32 device into my setup without using espHome, which was a bit of a challenge but rewarding once I figured it out. I used a combination of MQTT and custom scripts to pull temperature, humidity, and pressure data from the ESP32 and display it on my dashboard. If anyone has tips on optimizing this setup, I’d love to hear them!
