Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of ESPHome and it’s been a fantastic journey! I’ve got a few ESP modules lying around, and I’m always on the lookout for creative ways to utilize them. While I’ve explored some projects already, I’m eager to hear about what others are doing with their ESPHome setups.
Currently, I’ve got three ESPHome devices up and running. The first one is a pressure sensor that tracks my cats’ eating habits. It’s been super interesting to monitor their routines and ensure they’re eating properly. The second project is a ToF sensor that detects when my car is parked in the garage. It’s a handy little setup that gives me peace of mind. The third one is a connectivity sensor that controls the garage door based on whether my car is in range. It’s like having a smart valet at home!
I’m now brainstorming my next project and I’m curious to know what innovative ideas you all have. Maybe something with environmental monitoring, or perhaps integrating ESPHome with other smart devices? I’m all ears for suggestions!
One thing I’d love to explore more is the integration of ESPHome with openHAB, especially for monitoring voltage in a smart lab setup. If anyone has experience with this or can offer guidance, I’d be thrilled to hear from you. Whether it’s about circuit diagrams, programming the ESP module, or configuring openHAB, your insights would be invaluable.
Let’s keep the creativity flowing! What cool projects are you working on with ESPHome? I’m excited to learn and collaborate with the community on this. Happy tinkering! ![]()
