Hi everyone, I’m thrilled to share my journey with the ET-WV525 as a SmartThings hub. While I already have a robust Amplifi Mesh system, I was curious about leveraging the ET-WV525 purely as a hub, especially given its hardware specs. Here’s what I’ve discovered and experienced:- Performance Boost: Turning off the Wi-Fi on the ET-WV525 hasn’t been an issue for me. Its faster processor and more RAM definitely make a difference. I’ve noticed smoother operations compared to my previous setup, which is a huge plus for my expanding smart home.- Mesh System Potential: I’m currently exploring the idea of using additional ET-WV525 units purely as hubs. By connecting them to my existing Amplifi mesh points via Ethernet, I’m hoping to enhance my Z-Wave signal coverage throughout my house. This could be a game-changer for devices in hard-to-reach areas.- Compatibility Considerations: While the ET-WV525 seems to integrate well with my current setup, I’m still curious about any potential hardware or software limitations compared to the V3 hub. I’d love to hear others’ experiences, especially those who’ve made the switch. My Takeaway: The ET-WV525 has been a great addition, offering flexibility and performance. I’m excited to continue experimenting and see how it can further enhance my smart home setup. If anyone has tips or experiences to share, I’d love to hear them!Happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
