Hi everyone, I’m currently working on fine-tuning my Home Automation setup and came across an interesting challenge. I have a Eufy Cam that sends a notification to my Telegram bot whenever motion is detected. The automation works well for sending text updates, but I’m curious about sending the actual event image captured by the camera.
I’ve noticed that when I try to link the entity directly, it only sends text. Does anyone know how to configure this so that the image is included in the Telegram message? I’ve attached a screenshot of my entities for reference. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!
On a different note, I’ve also been experimenting with integrating multiple smart home devices from various brands. It’s been a fascinating journey, but there are definitely some hurdles to overcome. For instance, ensuring seamless communication between devices from different ecosystems can be quite a puzzle.
I’m also intrigued by the idea of creating custom scenes and automations. For example, I’d love to set up a scene where specific lights turn on based on motion detection, but only if other lights are already off. This would prevent overlapping light sources, which can be a bit jarring. Does anyone have experience with this kind of setup or know of any apps that can help achieve this?
Lastly, I’ve been exploring the world of DIY smart home projects. It’s amazing how a bit of creativity and some basic tools can transform a space. I recently came across a DIY project that caught my eye, and I’m excited to try it out. If anyone has tips or recommendations for getting started with DIY smart home projects, I’d love to hear them!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences. Happy automating! ![]()
