Exploring EZLO Z-Wave Thermostat and ESPHome Climate Component

I’ve recently been exploring the EZLO Z-Wave thermostat and have been quite impressed with its precision control and energy efficiency. It’s been a great addition to managing our home’s climate system. However, I’ve come across a challenge with the ESPHome climate component. When the connection to Home Assistant is lost, the thermostat doesn’t turn off, leading to overheating. Has anyone experienced this issue or found a workaround to operate the thermostat independently of Home Assistant?

Another topic I’ve been curious about is the Fibaro Universal Sensor. I’ve been testing it to monitor whether a door is locked or unlocked. While the sensor triggers correctly, it doesn’t consistently activate the desired scenes. I’m wondering if there’s a better way to configure it for more reliable performance.

I’d also love to hear about others’ experiences with the Wyze Cam V3. I’ve noticed that it no longer saves videos and only captures images, which is quite inconvenient. Any tips on resolving this without subscribing? Lastly, I’ve been enjoying the Govee lights in my setup. They’ve not only enhanced the ambiance but also contributed to energy savings.

If anyone has insights or solutions to these challenges, I’d greatly appreciate your input! Let’s continue to explore and share our experiences with these fantastic smart home devices.
