Exploring Facial Recognition for Door Locks

I’ve been really intrigued by the idea of using facial recognition to unlock my door, especially since I’ve been using the Wyze Cam v2 with facial recognition features. It’s such a seamless experience when it works, but I’m curious if others have successfully integrated this with their door locks. I’ve heard about the Friendly Faces app, but it requires a Plus subscription, which I’m hesitant about without knowing if it’ll work with my setup. I have a Wyze Doorbell Pro, and it’s amazing how it recognizes my face without any issues. But the thought of combining that with my palm door lock is both exciting and a bit daunting. I mean, who wouldn’t want to walk up to their door and have it unlock just by being recognized? It feels like a sci-fi movie come to life! I’m also wondering if there are any DIY solutions or workarounds for those of us who don’t want to pay for the Plus subscription. Has anyone experimented with this? I’d love to hear about your experiences or any tips you might have. Let’s explore the possibilities together!
