Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into some interesting projects lately and wanted to share my experiences and seek some advice from the community.
First off, I’ve been working on integrating my Fibaro system with Home Assistant. Both HC2 and HC3 support HTTPS through a self-signed Fibaro certificate, which is great for security. However, I’ve noticed that the graphical configuration is missing a configure button. This makes it a bit tricky to set things up properly. Has anyone encountered this issue or found a workaround? Also, if the IP address of the HC changes, I have to set up the integration again from scratch. It would be fantastic if there was a more seamless way to handle IP changes without disrupting the setup.
Another project I’ve been tinkering with is a motion sensor-triggered flow that adjusts the brightness of a group of lamps. The idea is to increase the brightness when motion is detected and then reset it after a while. The initial part of the flow works perfectly, but the reset functionality keeps failing. I’ve tried adding conditions to prevent overwriting the brightness variable, but it doesn’t seem to solve the issue. If anyone has experience with similar flows or knows a better way to handle the reset, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with the Nest Hub for displaying my Home Assistant dashboards. It’s a great device, but I’ve noticed that it only shows a default image as an album cover for media that’s currently playing. I’m not sure if this is a known issue or if there’s a way to customize the album covers displayed on the Nest Hub. If anyone has figured this out or has any insights, please share!
These projects have been both challenging and rewarding, and I’m grateful for the support and knowledge shared within this community. Let’s keep the discussions going and help each other troubleshoot these interesting problems!
