I recently stumbled upon the new frontend modes in Home Assistant—storage, auto-gen, and yaml. While exploring these, I found myself stuck in auto-gen mode, which has caused some issues with HACS not automatically adding resources when repos are installed. According to the dev docs, resources aren’t automatically added in auto-gen mode. I’ve tried numerous methods to switch to storage mode, including reinstalling HACS, clearing files, and adjusting settings in config.yaml, but nothing seems to work. I’m running the latest HA version, 2020.12.2. Has anyone encountered this or knows how to resolve it? I’d love to hear your experiences and tips!
