Exploring GNSS Performance and External Antenna Solutions

Hi everyone, I’m currently evaluating the NRF9151 for live tracking purposes and have some interesting findings to share. While testing with the nRF9151-DK, I noticed some tracking fallouts using AT#XGPS=1,1,1 during both stationary and driving tests. To isolate the issue, we conducted tests where the modem entered GNSS-only mode after obtaining a fix, disconnecting from the mobile network entirely.

For the stationary test, the results were impressive—99.77% of GNSS positions arrived at 1-second intervals, with only a few delays up to ~4 seconds.
