Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions. I recently purchased a Google Home Mini and two Yeelight Color 2 bulbs, and I’m trying to figure out how to integrate them seamlessly. I’ve created some scenes in the Yeelight app, but I was wondering if I can control these scenes directly through Google Assistant or have them trigger as part of a Routine. It would be amazing to say, ‘Hey Google, activate my evening scene,’ and have everything adjust automatically. Has anyone successfully done this and could share their setup? I’d love to hear about your experiences with Google Assistant integration and any tips you might have!
On another note, I’ve been trying to set up my Vera system to control my home’s lighting and security. I’ve run into a bit of a snag with the location settings. My Vera device isn’t correctly determining sunrise and sunset times, which is causing my scenes to run at the wrong times. I’ve tried manually setting the latitude and longitude in the UI5 Vera 3 app, but I keep getting an ‘ERROR_UNABLE_TO_CONNECT_TO_SRV’ message. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I’d really appreciate any guidance or workarounds you might have. It’s frustrating because I know the potential of Vera, but this issue is holding me back from fully utilizing it.
I also wanted to mention an issue I’ve been having with HADashboard. I’ve been trying to configure it on my Ubuntu server, but I keep running into an error related to SSL verification. The error message mentions that cafile, capath, and cadata cannot all be omitted. I’ve checked my certificates and everything seems to be in order, but I’m still stuck. If anyone has encountered this before or knows how to fix it, I’d be incredibly grateful for your help. HADashboard is such a powerful tool, and I’m really looking forward to getting it up and running smoothly.
Overall, I’m really excited about the possibilities that smart home technology offers, but these hiccups are a bit challenging. I’d love to hear from others who might have faced similar issues or have advice on how to overcome them. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out as we navigate this smart home journey! Thanks in advance for your insights and support.
