Hi everyone, I’m new to the world of smart home devices and I’m excited to share my experiences with the Govee curtain lights and Shelly smart plugs. Over the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with these devices to enhance my home’s ambiance and efficiency.
One feature I particularly love about the Govee curtain lights is their ability to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in my living room. However, I’ve noticed that the color black isn’t an option for the background. I understand that turning off the background allows for coloring, but it also limits the brightness adjustments. I’ve shared some examples of my setups, and they really demonstrate how versatile these lights can be. I’m hoping Govee might consider adding a black button option in future updates!
On the other hand, my experience with the Shelly smart plugs has been mostly positive. They’ve been reliable in controlling my appliances, but I did encounter an issue where the lights would faintly glow even when turned off, especially at night. This was a bit distracting, but after some research, I found that using a power strip between the plug and the device helped mitigate the issue. It’s a small tweak, but it made a big difference in my comfort.
I’m also curious about integrating multiple brands into my smart home setup. I’ve heard great things about OpenHab and its compatibility with various devices, but I’m still exploring how to set it up properly. If anyone has tips or resources, I’d love to hear them!
Overall, my journey with these devices has been a mix of excitement and learning. I’m looking forward to discovering more ways to enhance my home automation setup. Thanks for reading, and I hope this post inspires others to explore the possibilities of smart home technology!
