Hi everyone! I wanted to share some exciting updates and experiences I’ve had with my Govee devices and Z-Wave integration. ![]()
First off, I’ve been really impressed with the Govee app’s rewards system. After 123 active days, I’ve accumulated 23,000 points, which is super motivating! I’m just 2,000 points away from reaching Level 5, and it feels great to see my progress each day. It’s a nice way to stay engaged and active with the community. Huge thanks to Govee for this awesome feature! ![]()
On the Z-Wave front, I’ve been experimenting with my Shelly Mini 1G3. I was curious about adjusting its input/output settings directly through Home Assistant (HA) without having to access the device’s IP address every time. After some research, I found that while HA doesn’t have a built-in interface for these settings, it’s manageable by tweaking the device’s configuration file. It’s a bit of a workaround, but it’s doable and keeps everything centralized in HA, which is a big plus for convenience. ![]()
Another topic I’ve been exploring is setting up Fibaro and Inovelli scenes. I initially struggled with getting the scenes to register properly in HA, but after reviewing the zwcfg.xml file and ensuring all necessary parameters were correctly set, everything started working smoothly. It was a bit of a puzzle, but solving it was really satisfying! ![]()
I’d love to hear from others who’ve integrated Govee or Z-Wave devices into their smart homes. What features or challenges have you encountered? Let’s keep the conversation flowing! ![]()
