On another note, I’ve been experimenting with smart automation and wanted to share a tip that might help others. I recently created a group of devices, including two light strings, and was initially frustrated because I couldn’t apply automation rules directly to the group. However, after some trial and error, I discovered that setting individual automation rules for each device within the group works perfectly. It’s a bit more work upfront, but the results are worth it!
For example, I set up an automation where both light strings change to a warm golden hue when it gets dark outside. It’s subtle but makes a big difference in how welcoming my space feels. If anyone has tips for streamlining group automation, I’d love to hear them!
