Exploring Govee LED Strips and Zigbee Thermostats

As I dive deeper into the world of smart home automation, I’ve been exploring various devices to enhance my setup. One project that’s been on my mind is installing Govee LED strips in my console. Imagine the gaming experience with customizable RGB lighting! I’ve heard great things about Govee’s products, but I’m curious if anyone has successfully integrated them into their Xbox setup. Would love to hear your experiences or tips on this!

Another area I’m excited about is the Zigbee thermostat. I recently came across the Beca BAC-8000ALZB thermostat, which claims to be compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. While it’s a bit pricey at EUR 73.9, the promise of intelligent programming and voice control is appealing. Has anyone had luck with similar Zigbee devices? Any tips on installation or integration with Home Assistant?

On a different note, I’ve been experimenting with Tasmota on my Wemos D1 board, controlling two white LED strips. I’d love to adjust their brightness independently, but Tasmota seems to treat them as a single RGB strip. Is there a workaround for this? Any advice from the community would be invaluable!

Lastly, I’m always on the lookout for creative ways to use LED strips. If you have any unique placement ideas or cool projects, I’d love to hear about them. Let’s share the inspiration and make our smart homes even smarter!
