As a homeowner who loves to experiment with lighting, I’ve always been fascinated by the possibilities Govee lights offer. Recently, I’ve been diving into the world of icicle lights, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! ![]()
I’ve been using the Govee Home app to create scenes with these lights, and while the pre-designed options are stunning, I wanted to take it a step further. I envisioned creating my own complex designs—something that combines multiple color transitions and patterns. However, I quickly realized that the DIY function in the app only allows for a single frame. That’s a bit limiting, but it’s also sparked my curiosity to find a workaround!
I’ve noticed that the net lights have options like layers, carousel, and combo, which I don’t see available for icicle lights. Maybe there’s a way to simulate similar effects by layering multiple scenes or using a sequence of single-frame designs. I’m planning to experiment with this idea over the weekend and will share my findings!
In the meantime, I’d love to hear from anyone who’s successfully created intricate designs with Govee icicle lights. What tricks or hacks have you discovered? Drop your thoughts below—I’m all ears! ![]()
