I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and tips! ![]()
First off, I’ve been absolutely blown away by the Govee lights I’ve been experimenting with. Their pink bulbs with blue and red shadows are such a hit in my living room—they really set the mood! I’ve also been trying out their night light, and it’s been a game-changer for creating a soothing bedtime routine. The only thing I’m still exploring is how to integrate a background sound feature with Alexa. If anyone has tips on that, I’d love to hear them! ![]()
Another project I’ve been working on is integrating multiple Philips Hue bridges. I’ve got a growing collection of Hue, Innr, and IKEA lights, and it’s been a bit of a challenge getting everything to play nice. I recently set up a second Hue bridge and was thrilled when it worked seamlessly with Alexa and my routines. However, I did run into an issue where the new bridge wasn’t showing up in the Google Assistant. After a bit of troubleshooting, I realized it was a simple matter of re-syncing the cloud connector. Now everything’s running smoothly! ![]()
For anyone looking to expand their smart lighting setup, I’d highly recommend starting with Govee for their affordability and style, and Philips Hue for reliability and integration capabilities. Mixing brands can be tricky, but with the right setup, it’s totally doable! ![]()
