Exploring Govee Products and DIY Smart Home Solutions

Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home devices lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and tips. :rocket:

First off, I’ve been absolutely loving my Govee products. From the curtain lights to the temperature and humidity sensors, they’ve been a game-changer for my home setup. The curtain lights, in particular, have added such a cozy vibe to my backyard, even though I’ve had to deal with some minor photodegradation issues due to the harsh desert sun here in Vegas. I’ve been in touch with Govee about this, and I’m hopeful they’ll improve the plastic composition in future models!

On the DIY front, I’ve been experimenting with creating my own NodeMCU breakout boards for temperature and humidity sensors. It’s been a fun project, and I’ve even 3D printed some enclosures to keep everything looking neat. If anyone’s interested, I’ve shared the design files on OSH Park and PCBWay. Feel free to check them out! :printer:

Another thing I’ve been exploring is the Zigbee Herdsman log file. I’m doing some testing for a project and need longer log files to catch intermittent errors. If anyone has tips on adjusting the log file size or duration, I’d love to hear them! :clipboard:

Lastly, I’ve been impressed by the community support here. Whether it’s troubleshooting firmware updates or sharing DIY projects, it’s amazing how much we can learn from each other. If you’re working on any cool smart home projects or have tips to share, I’d love to hear about them in the comments below! :speech_balloon:

Happy tinkering everyone! :control_knobs:
