Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home devices lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all.
First off, I’ve been really impressed with Govee’s products. Their LED strips and smart bulbs have completely transformed my living space. However, I’ve noticed that not all Govee products are available in Germany, especially some of the cooler ones like the motorcycle LED or the Aurora lamp. It would be fantastic if these could be made available in the future! Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a workaround? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
On another note, I’ve recently set up a Ring Doorbell and integrated it with my Philips Hue lights. The idea is that when someone presses the doorbell, a group of Hue bulbs flash blue for around 15 seconds. This part works smoothly, but I’m struggling with the next bit. After the 15 seconds, if the light was already off, I want it to stay off. If it was on, I want it to return to its previous state or, as a compromise, switch to white. I’ve tried using scenes and scripting, but it either leaves the light on in blue or turns it off completely. Does anyone have a solution or workaround for this? I’d be extremely grateful for any help!
