Recently, I’ve been diving into the world of Govee products, and I must say, I’m quite impressed with their quality and functionality. I recently purchased the Govee Precision Screwdriver set, which my wife and I both find incredibly useful for various home automation projects. The build quality is top-notch, and the precision they offer makes all the difference when working with small components.
I also came across the Govee Space Travelers, which caught my eye due to their unique design and the positive reviews I’ve seen. I decided to order three of them, hoping to get a variety of characters. I’m really looking forward to unboxing them and seeing how they fit into my home automation setup!
However, I’ve encountered a few challenges along the way. One issue I’m facing is with integrating my Nuki Pro 4.0 lock into SmartThings. I’ve tried using Google Streamer as a hub, but I’m not quite sure how to get it working seamlessly. If anyone has experience with this, I’d greatly appreciate any tips or guidance you could share.
Another area where I need some help is with my cameras. After a power outage, my cameras that were turned off before the outage come back online in the on state. This is a bit inconvenient, as I’d prefer them to retain their previous off state. Does anyone know if there’s a way to store the camera’s on/off status separately from their online/offline status?
Additionally, I’ve been experiencing some SSL errors when trying to connect to my Home Assistant instance via the cloud. The error message mentions a failed SSL handshake, and I’ve tried clearing the cache and restarting the app, but the issue persists. If anyone has encountered and resolved this issue, I’d love to hear how you did it.
I’m also curious if there’s a way to clear the internal cache in Home Assistant for local files. I have an automation that sends screenshots of my cameras to my phone, but the old images seem to linger even after I delete them. It would be great if there was a way to force Home Assistant to update these files without manually clearing the cache each time.
Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of setting up and customizing my smart home, but these hurdles are keeping me from fully realizing my vision. I’m hopeful that the community can offer some solutions or workarounds. Thanks in advance for any help or insights you can provide!
