Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home devices lately, and I wanted to share my experiences with Govee products and my journey to integrate Xiaomi devices into my setup.
First off, I recently got my hands on the Govee H617A strip lights, and I must say, they’ve been a game-changer for my home automation setup. The vibrant colors and smooth dimming features have really elevated my living space. However, I’ve encountered a bit of a hiccup when trying to share these devices with my son. Despite my best efforts, they don’t show up in the list of shareable devices. Has anyone else faced this issue? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
On the Xiaomi front, I’m new to OpenHAB and have successfully set up my FritzBox with some rules and items. My question is whether I can add the Xiaomi Gateway to OpenHAB without needing a ZigBee USB stick. I’ve heard mixed things about compatibility, and I’d love to get some clarity on this.
Another thing I’ve been exploring is the integration of Govee Glide Hexa Panels. They’re absolutely stunning, but I’m curious if there’s a way to automate their lighting based on motion sensors. I’ve seen some flows using timers and motion sensors, but I’m not entirely sure how to tie it all together.
Lastly, I’ve been impressed with the Govee wall sconce H6039, though it has some assembly quirks. The finish could use some improvement, and the instructions for connecting the internal cable were a bit unclear. Still, the overall design is sleek, and I think Govee has a lot of potential in this space.
I’d love to hear from others who’ve worked with Govee or Xiaomi devices. Your insights and experiences could really help me (and others) troubleshoot and optimize our setups. Let’s keep the conversation flowing! ![]()
