Hey everyone, I’m thrilled to share my experience integrating Govee sensors with my Homey Pro setup! As a newbie to the world of smart homes, I’ve been on a quest to optimize my living space with the latest gadgets. Recently, I came across a challenge that I thought might be worth discussing with the community.
I’ve been using Govee’s H5104 digital thermometer/hygrometer along with three H5100 units. While setting them up, I noticed that the H5104 wasn’t connecting through the Govee app on my Homey Pro, even though all devices show up in my Govee account. After some research, I realized the issue might be related to how the API key was configured. I decided to try a direct connection without relying on the Govee cloud, and to my delight, it worked perfectly!
This experience made me realize the importance of understanding device configurations and the flexibility of integrating different ecosystems. I’m now curious to explore more advanced setups and would love to hear if anyone else has tips or tricks for optimizing their smart home devices.
