Govee smart devices have been a game-changer for my home automation setup. I recently upgraded my lighting system with the Govee Hexagon Light Panels, and the Ultra version is something I’ve been eagerly waiting for. The ability to customize colors and brightness has completely transformed my living room vibe. However, I was disappointed to hear about the removal of the leisure time feature in the Govee app. I often used that feature to schedule lights for specific times, and its absence has left a gap in my routine.
In addition to Govee, I’ve been exploring other smart devices to create a seamless ecosystem. For instance, I’ve been trying to integrate a ROBB Smarrt smart plugin into my setup. While it pairs correctly with deconz, I’ve faced issues with the power sensors not showing up in Home Assistant. I’ve tried deleting and re-pairing the device multiple times, but the problem persists. I’m curious if this is a compatibility issue or if there’s a workaround I haven’t discovered yet.
Another area I’ve been delving into is energy monitoring. I recently set up a Kamstrup electricity meter using the smart-me app, which provides real-time data on energy consumption. It’s been incredibly helpful in optimizing my energy usage. However, I’m still looking for ways to integrate this data more effectively into my home automation system.
On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with creating custom scenes using my Harmony Hub. While I’ve managed to set up basic controls, I’m interested in taking it to the next level by adding volume sliders for my Spotify integration. This would allow me to fine-tune the audio experience without leaving the habpanel interface.
Overall, my journey with smart home devices has been filled with both excitement and challenges. I’m always on the lookout for new ways to enhance my setup and streamline my daily routines. If anyone has tips or solutions for the issues I’ve mentioned, I’d love to hear them!
