Exploring Govee Smart Outdoor Plug and Z-Wave Integration

I recently got my hands on the Govee Smart Outdoor Plug Model:H5160, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer for my outdoor setup. The ability to control three outlets via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is fantastic, and the app integration has made managing my outdoor devices a breeze. However, I’ve been trying to integrate this with my existing Z-Wave network, and I’m hitting a few bumps in the road.

I’ve followed all the steps to add a Jasco GE 14294 Z-Wave switch to my Home Assistant setup, but it just doesn’t seem to show up in the nodes list. I’ve restarted everything, double-checked the USB stick connection, and even tried healing the network, but no luck so far. I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing in the configuration or if there are specific settings I need to adjust on the Z-Wave stick.

I’ve also noticed that some older devices, like my First Alert smoke detectors, are giving me occasional false test alerts. It’s a bit concerning, especially when it happens in the middle of the night. I’m curious if others have experienced this and if there’s a way to filter out these test notifications without disabling the alerts entirely.

Overall, I’m really impressed with the Govee plug and its versatility, but getting everything to work seamlessly with my existing smart home setup is proving to be a bit of a challenge. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s successfully integrated similar devices or has tips for troubleshooting Z-Wave connections. Thanks for your insights!
