Hi everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with Govee’s covered light strip, which has been a fascinating DIY project. While I’ve managed to create some beautiful effects, I’ve encountered a small challenge that I’m curious to explore further.
I’ve been trying to achieve a seamless rainbow effect with my light strip, but I’ve noticed that the colors break slightly, which isn’t the case when I use the same DIY on a rope light or another strip. I’m wondering if this is a characteristic of the specific light strip model or if there’s something I can adjust to improve the effect. It’s been a fun puzzle to solve, and I’m considering whether upgrading to a newer model might help.
On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with techniques to hide wires and minimize clutter, inspired by the thickness of the light strip. My basement has become the perfect testing ground for these ideas! I’d love to hear if anyone else has tackled similar challenges or has tips to share.
Lastly, I wanted to take a moment to thank the community for the incredible support and inspiration. It’s amazing how much we can achieve together! ![]()
Happy DIYing everyone! ![]()
