Exploring Govee's Lighting Potential and Seeking Tips

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home lighting lately, and Govee’s products have really caught my attention. I recently picked up the Govee Nebula Projector, and I’ve been experimenting with its RGB settings to create some stunning light shows. Here’s a quick DIY I came up with:

DIY Flow Setup:- Color Mode: RGB

  • Effect Type: Solid Varied
  • Flow Direction: Clockwise
  • Flow Rate: 72%
  • Block Size: 2
  • Colors: Red → Green → Blue → Purple → Yellow

This setup creates a gentle, meditative rhythm that transforms my room into a cosmic wonderland. It’s amazing how light can evoke such emotions!

However, I’ve encountered a minor issue with my Govee Motion Sensor. While it’s fantastic for turning lights on when I enter a room, I’m struggling to find a seamless way to turn them off after a period of inactivity. The Govee app allows for turning lights on with motion, but I can’t figure out how to automate the lights turning off after, say, 20 minutes of no movement. Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

On a lighter note, I’ve also been exploring the integration of Alexa with my smart home setup. It’s been a breeze setting up routines, but I’m curious if others have encountered issues with specific devices not being recognized by Alexa. For instance, my Echo Dot stopped recognizing one of my IoT devices recently, though others work fine. Any troubleshooting advice would be welcome!

If you’ve got any hacks, tips, or stories about your smart home journey, I’d love to hear them. Let’s keep the creativity flowing! :star2:
