Exploring Govee's New Features and My Smart Lighting Journey

Wow, the updates from Govee are absolutely amazing! I just got on board and was thrilled to see all the new features rolling out. The ‘Spin to Win’ feature returning on November 4th is something I’m really looking forward to. It’s like a treasure hunt every time, and it keeps the community engaged and excited. I can’t wait to see what surprises they have in store this time around! :tada::sparkles:

Speaking of smart lighting, I’ve been experimenting with integrating my Govee Ceiling Lights with Tapo button switches. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but the potential is huge. Imagine being able to control the brightness and color of my lights with just a tap on a switch—so convenient! I’m currently testing the Tapo H100 Hub and Tapo S200b button switch setup. While it’s still in the trial phase, the possibilities are endless. I’ll keep you updated on how this integration goes!

Another exciting project I’m working on is creating custom watch faces using the Wicked Framework for Fitbit (WFF). It’s a bit challenging, especially when it comes to centering images and text dynamically. I discovered the textLength() function, but it doesn’t quite give the exact width I need. I’m hoping there’s a workaround or a feature that can help achieve this seamlessly. If anyone has tips or tricks, I’d love to hear them! :eyes:

On a different note, I’ve been exploring the world of DIY smart home projects. This Christmas, I’m planning to create some unique decorations that blend technology with creativity. If you have any DIY ideas or hacks, feel free to share them here—I’m always looking for fresh inspiration! :gift::gift:

Lastly, I want to thank Govee for the incredible support and community they’ve built. It’s amazing to be part of such an innovative and passionate group of people. Here’s to many more exciting updates and projects ahead! Let’s keep the ideas flowing and make our smart homes even smarter! :bulb::star2:
