Exploring Home Assistant on CM3/CM4 Boards: A User's Journey

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of Home Assistant and decided to share my experiences with installing it on CM3 and CM4 boards. While the current setup works on standard Pi OS, I’m really curious if adding support for these boards directly into the Home Assistant OS image is feasible. It would streamline things for projects like my Turing Pi setup, which uses multiple CM3/CM4 boards. I’ve tried tweaking boot configurations manually, but the lack of driver support for Ethernet and storage controllers is a hurdle. Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

On another note, I’ve been exploring custom themes and automation scripts. It’s been a steep learning curve, but seeing everything come together is incredibly rewarding. For instance, I set up a system where my outdoor lights automatically adjust based on temperature sensors, using emojis to indicate different states. It’s a fun way to visualize data!

I’d love to hear from others who’ve successfully integrated multiple devices or have tips for optimizing setups. Let’s keep the discussion flowing and help each other make the most out of our smart home setups! :rocket:
