Abode seems appealing because of its flexibility with Z-Wave and Zigbee, and the fact that it’s a separate system from ADT. However, I’m unsure how well it integrates with our existing setup, especially with devices like the Baldwin Evolved smart lock. Can I use IFTTT to automate arming and disarming based on the lock’s status?
Another consideration is video storage. I’d prefer to keep recordings locally rather than relying on the cloud. Any recommendations for cameras or storage solutions that support this?
I’m also exploring the possibility of adding outdoor cameras and motion sensors. The challenge is finding devices that work seamlessly with our current system and provide reliable performance, especially in Canadian winters.
