Hello everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of Homematic and have some exciting updates to share! ![]()
After setting up my CCU2 and various components like the UP Schaltaktor and Funk-Dimmer, I’ve been exploring how to create some comfort functions to make my home even smarter. Here’s what I’ve been thinking about:
-
Interlinking Switches: I have two UP Schaltaktor switches—one in the living room and one in the dining area. I’d love to program them so that toggling one affects both lights. Maybe a quick press for one room and a long press for the other? I’m curious if this is achievable through the CCU2 setup. Any tips from the community would be fantastic!
-
Maximizing the Remote Control: My Funkfernbedienung has 8 buttons, but the CCU only recognizes them as 4 pairs. I’m wondering if there’s a way to assign each button individually to control different lights or scenes. This would really enhance the usability of my setup!
-
Aesthetic Integrations: I upgraded all my switches to Busch-Jäger models a year ago, but they don’t blend well with Homematic components. I’ve been looking for affordable covers that match the Busch-Jäger style while supporting Homematic devices. If anyone has recommendations or solutions, I’d be grateful!
While exploring these ideas, I stumbled upon some helpful posts in the community. For instance, someone shared how they integrated their Netatmo thermostat with their CCU2 using scripts and the CUx-Daemon. It was a bit technical, but the step-by-step guide made it manageable. I’m inspired to try something similar with my own setup!
If anyone has experience with these types of integrations or tips for optimizing comfort functions, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let’s continue to support each other in making our smart homes even smarter! ![]()
Best regards,
Daniel
