One feature that has me particularly excited is the ability to create and trigger scenes using Philips Hue lights. However, I’m hitting a bit of a snag and I’d love to hear from others who might have encountered similar challenges or have tips to share.
I recently set up a bedtime routine that’s supposed to turn off certain lights, dim others, and switch to night mode. It all works, but there’s a noticeable lag before I see any changes, which is a bit frustrating. Coming from a Vera setup, I’m used to things happening almost instantaneously, so this delay is making me question whether the routine is even running properly.
Here’s what I’m wondering:
- Are all the actions in a rule executed simultaneously, or does Homey process them one by one? If it’s the latter, what determines the order?
- Does Homey wait for confirmation that an action has been completed before moving on to the next one?
- Is there a way to delay the switch to night mode by 5 minutes without having to create multiple rules? I tried adjusting the timing within the rule, but it didn’t seem to work as expected.
I’d really appreciate any insights or workarounds others might have. It’s been such a smooth experience overall, and I’m eager to refine these little quirks to make everything run like clockwork. Thanks in advance for your help!
