Exploring Homey's Capabilities and Seeking Insights

Hey everyone, I’ve been exploring the capabilities of my Homey setup and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions. Setting up my Homey Pro 2023 has been an exciting journey, especially integrating 49 devices, mainly Homematic IP and Aqara. However, I’ve noticed something intriguing about the CPU clock frequency. After about two days of use, it consistently rises to 1.4 GHz, which also increases the temperature. The CPU load remains at a maximum of 5%, so I’m curious if this is normal behavior or if there’s something I should be concerned about.

I’ve created a few flows so far, like turning on all the lights with a button press and receiving notifications if a door or window is open late at night. These automations have been working smoothly, but I’m wondering if there are more advanced ways to optimize my setup. For instance, I’ve heard about others using the Lock Code Manager API to share codes across different devices, which sounds like a feature that could enhance my security setup.

Another thing I’ve been pondering is how to handle unexpected behaviors in my automations. For example, one of my cameras isn’t pairing correctly, and I’ve tried everything from resetting it to checking the Wi-Fi settings. It’s frustrating, but I’m determined to figure it out. Maybe there’s a trick or a setting I’m missing.

I’d love to hear from others who have encountered similar issues or have tips on optimizing their Homey setups. Whether it’s about CPU performance, automation troubleshooting, or integrating new devices, your insights would be invaluable. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most out of our smart home experiences!
