Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I’m super excited to share my recent project. I recently upgraded from my old Wink hub to a Hubitat, and I’m blown away by the possibilities it opens up, especially for controlling my Serena shades. I’ve always wanted to automate my blinds, and now I’m finally making it happen!
I currently have a Pico controller, but I’m eager to take things to the next level. I want my shades to open and close on a schedule, and I’ve heard Hubitat can handle that seamlessly. I’ve been tinkering with the setup, and while it’s a bit of a learning curve, I’m loving the flexibility it offers. If anyone has tips or tricks for setting up shade automation, I’d love to hear them!
On another note, I’ve also been experimenting with integrating different brands of devices into my system. It’s been a bit of a challenge, but it’s so rewarding when everything works together smoothly. I’d love to hear how others are managing multi-brand setups and what tools or apps they find indispensable for maintaining everything.
Automation is such a game-changer, and I’m thrilled to be part of this community. Let’s keep the ideas flowing and help each other create the smart homes of our dreams! ![]()
