Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating my Hue system with GE Link PAR38 bulbs. I’ve been using Hue for a while now, and I was really excited to add these PAR38 bulbs to my setup. I’ve heard that GE Link bulbs can work with the Hue app without needing a separate hub, but I wasn’t entirely sure how it would go, especially since I’ve only used them with A bulbs before.
I decided to give it a try, and I must say, the process was surprisingly smooth! The Hue app recognized the bulbs right away, and they’re now fully integrated into my existing setup. The app even describes them as GE PAR38 bulbs, which is really helpful for organization. I’ve been using them in my living room, and the color rendering and brightness are fantastic. It’s like having a whole new layer of customization in my smart home setup.
What’s been most impressive is how seamlessly they work with my existing Hue devices. I can control them alongside my A19s and BR30s without any issues. I’ve even set up some scenes that combine all of them, and it’s been working perfectly. I was a bit worried about compatibility, but it turns out there’s no need for a separate hub after all!
If you’re considering adding GE Link bulbs to your Hue setup, I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot. The integration is smooth, and the performance has been excellent so far. It’s been a great way to expand my smart lighting without complicating things. I’m already thinking about what other bulbs I can add next!
Any others out there who’ve tried mixing Hue with GE Link bulbs? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have. Let’s keep the conversation going!
