Hi everyone! I’ve been exploring some interesting topics lately and wanted to share my experiences and questions with the community. Hopefully, someone can shed some light on these for me!
First off, I’ve been thinking about how to optimize my Philips Hue TV lighting setup. I’ve heard that the wall color behind the TV can significantly affect the lighting performance. Does anyone have recommendations on the best paint color to use? I’m aiming for a setup that maximizes the Hue system’s potential, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Speaking of setups, I’ve recently purchased a Homey Pro and a Mill heater. I’ve managed to create some flows in Homey, but I’m running into an issue with adjusting the target temperature. The on/off flow works fine, but the temperature adjustment isn’t responding as expected. I’ve connected everything through WiFi and linked my Mill Cloud account, but I’m still stuck. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I’d love to hear if others are using a similar setup or if they’ve migrated to Matter.
On a different note, I’ve been diving into Arduino and the HomeyArduino app. It’s been a fascinating journey! I’ve managed to establish a stable connection and control capabilities like dimming and color changes. However, I’m facing a challenge with synchronizing the state after a power cycle or reset. The ‘onoff’ capability isn’t working as smoothly as the others, and I’m wondering if there’s a solution to eliminate the delay. Any insights or workarounds would be fantastic!
Lastly, I came across a guide on managing the Home Assistant database size, which I found really helpful. It’s crucial to keep the database under control to prevent performance issues. The guide mentioned viewing the database size, identifying heavy entities, and filtering them out. I’m thinking of implementing some of these strategies to optimize my system. If anyone has additional tips or experiences with database management, I’d love to hear about them!
It’s amazing how much there is to learn and explore in the world of smart home automation. I’m excited to continue my journey and hopefully contribute more to the community as I go. If anyone has any advice, tips, or just wants to share their experiences, please feel free to reach out!
