Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation and have some exciting experiences to share! ![]()
First off, I’ve been experimenting with IFTTT to integrate my Google Assistant with Home Assistant. Specifically, I’ve been trying to send sensor data from IFTTT to a Home Assistant sensor via webhook. For example, using Google Assistant to trigger a reminder with a specific word and then sending that word to a sensor. It’s been a bit of a puzzle, but I’m making progress! Have any of you successfully implemented something similar? I’d love to hear your tips or tricks!
On a different note, I’ve been having some fun with my smart lights. I recently set up a scene where the lights turn on and adjust to a specific brightness all in one action. It’s so much smoother than having to toggle them on and then adjust the brightness separately. Does anyone else have tips for creating seamless lighting scenes? I’d love to hear how you’ve optimized your setups!
Lastly, I wanted to share a quick win. I’ve been using the Shelly H&T sensor, and it’s been fantastic for monitoring both temperature and humidity in my garden. I’ve managed to display both values on a single card in my Lovelace dashboard, which saves space and keeps everything neat. If anyone is looking to do something similar, I’d be happy to share my configuration!
It’s amazing how these little tweaks can make such a big difference in how we interact with our smart homes. Thanks to everyone in this community for the inspiration and support! ![]()
