I’ve been using IFTTT to link my Google Home, OpenHAB, and other devices together. It’s amazing how seamlessly everything can work together when set up correctly. However, I’ve encountered a bit of confusion with the integration process. Specifically, when I connect my OpenHAB items to IFTTT, I’m seeing all my items listed as possible triggers—even though I’ve only exposed a few for testing. This makes navigating the interface a bit overwhelming. I’m wondering if this is normal behavior or if there’s a way to limit the triggers to only the exposed items. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how did you handle it?
On a more positive note, I’ve managed to create some really handy automations. For example, I set up a routine where my lights dim and my thermostat adjusts when I leave the house.
