Exploring IFTTT Integration with Home Assistant: A Beginner's Journey

Hi all, I’m Remy, a 29-year-old enthusiast diving into the world of smart home automation. After a frustrating experience with my Broadlink device, I decided to start fresh with a Raspberry Pi, which I procured from my dad. Setting up Hassbian was a breeze with the help of YouTube tutorials, and I quickly got IKEA Tradfri and Google Home integrated. Now, I’m eager to expand my setup with IFTTT to create some cool scenes, like a ‘Goodnight’ routine that turns off all lights and starts charging my phone. But here’s where I hit a snag. I’ve connected IFTTT and webhooks in Home Assistant, but I’m stuck at the ‘THIS’ to ‘THAT’ part. Questions swirling in my mind: Where do I find the required URL? Should I create scripts, or can I input everything directly in IFTTT? Am I on the right track, or am I way off? I’ve scoured tutorials and manuals, but the pieces aren’t quite fitting together. Any guidance from the community would be invaluable! :rocket:
