I recently came across Legrand’s new smart home devices, including their light strip, motion sensor, and door/window sensor, and I thought I’d share my initial impressions and experiences with the community.
First, the Legrand Motion Sensor and Legrand Door/Window Sensor caught my eye. They use Bluetooth 5.0, which I was excited about because Bluetooth 4.2 had some reliability issues in my setup. However, I noticed the motion sensor has a reaction time of 2 seconds, which is a bit slow for my liking. Still, the price point of just under $40 each is quite competitive, especially considering the range improvements with Bluetooth 5.0.
The Legrand Light Strip is another highlight. It’s Wi-Fi enabled and can be extended up to 33 feet, which is perfect for my home. The price of $59.99 is a bit steep compared to some alternatives, but the flexibility and design make it a worthwhile investment. I’ve been using it in my living room, and the color customization options have really brightened up the space!
One thing I’m curious about is how these devices integrate with other brands. I have a mix of devices from Aqara, Terncy, and Mijia, and I’d love to hear if others have successfully combined Legrand products with these brands.
Overall, Legrand’s new offerings are a solid addition to the smart home market. They’re affordable, reliable, and offer a good range of features. If you’re looking to expand your smart home setup without breaking the bank, I’d definitely recommend giving Legrand a try!
Has anyone else had a chance to test these devices? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
