Exploring Lights, Connectivity, and Smart Switches

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home technology, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. Let’s start with something that’s been on my mind lately—lighting and app changes.

I recently noticed that the lights I used to have at the top of my Home Screen are no longer there. It seems like the app has undergone some changes, and I’m not quite sure how to get them back. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to restore the lighting shortcuts?

Speaking of apps, I’ve also been exploring custom app development and came across a feature request for radio buttons. I’ve successfully integrated text inputs, buttons, and dropdowns, but radio buttons would really enhance the user experience. Does anyone know if this is possible or if there’s a workaround?

Moving on to hardware, I’ve been contemplating an upgrade to my home’s lighting system. I’ve got a mix of switches—SPST, SPDT, DPDT, dimmers, and fans—and I’m trying to find a manufacturer that offers all these variations. I’ve heard mixed reviews about different brands, so I’d love to hear your experiences with durability, cost, and protocol compatibility.

Another thing I’ve been curious about is the Wyze Sense Hub. I recently updated mine to version 4.32.9.264, and now it’s going offline periodically. It’s connected wirelessly, and I’ve never had issues before. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a fix or should I consider a wired connection?

Lastly, I’ve been exploring the Govee API and would love to know if others have experience with it. It seems like a powerful tool, but I’m not entirely sure how to get started.

I’d really appreciate any advice or insights you all might have. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out! Thanks in advance for your support.
