I’ve been diving into some exciting features and troubleshooting a few hiccups in my smart home setup, and I’d love to share my experiences and gather some insights from you all!
1. MQTT Auto-Discovery Mysteries
I’ve been trying to get MQTT auto-discovery working seamlessly, but it’s been a bit of a puzzle. I’ve set up the Mosquitto broker, configured the integration in Home Assistant, and even tested with some manual publishes. The logs show that messages are being transmitted, but the entities just aren’t appearing. Any tips on diagnosing this would be fantastic! 
2. AppDaemon 2.1.0 Excitement
On a brighter note, I recently upgraded to AppDaemon 2.1.0 and it’s been a game-changer! The ability to directly access entity states without get_state() is such a clean improvement. I’ve also been experimenting with the RESTful API support and Alexa integration—it’s opening up so many possibilities for custom automations. The dashboard SSL support and password security features are a huge plus too! 
3. Removing Problematic Entities
Speaking of entity management, I’ve stumbled upon a few history_stats entities that are causing errors and won’t budge when I try to remove them. Has anyone encountered this and found a workaround? I’d love to hear how you’ve handled similar issues!
