Hi everyone, I’m currently in the process of migrating from OpenHAB 2.x to 3.1 and wanted to share my experience and some questions I have along the way. I decided to start fresh by installing OpenHAB 3 on my Linux server and slowly reconfiguring my setup to better understand the new features and changes. So far, the transition has been smooth, but I’ve hit a snag with the MQTT binding that I’m hoping someone can help me with.
In my previous setup with OpenHAB 2.x, I relied heavily on the System MQTT broker for most of my integrations. However, when I installed the same binding in 3.1, it doesn’t seem to work as seamlessly as before. I’m wondering if there are any specific configurations or settings I need to adjust in the new version to get it working properly. I don’t have Mosquitto installed separately, so I’m a bit confused about why the System MQTT broker isn’t functioning as expected.
If anyone has successfully configured MQTT in OpenHAB 3.1 or has any tips or troubleshooting steps, I’d greatly appreciate your insights. I’m eager to get everything up and running smoothly to take full advantage of the new features in 3.1. Thanks in advance for your help!
