Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into some exciting projects lately and wanted to share my experiences and perhaps get some tips from the community.
First off, I’ve been working on integrating my EV charger into Home Assistant. The charger sends MQTT data from three energy meters, and I’ve been trying to extract specific values like current and power. Initially, it was a bit overwhelming, but using JSON paths made it manageable. For example, extracting the current values for L1, L2, and L3 was a great achievement! Now, I’m working on importing this data into the energy tab to track consumption more effectively.
On another front, I’ve been exploring automation with my Philips Hue bulbs. It’s amazing how a simple change in color temperature can create such a cozy atmosphere in the evenings. I set up a routine where the lights gradually warm up as the sun sets, and it’s made a world of difference. I’d love to hear how others are using automations to enhance their daily routines.
One thing I’m still figuring out is the best way to handle multiple devices from different brands. Balancing integration and simplicity is key, and I’d appreciate any recommendations or success stories from those who’ve tackled similar setups.
Lastly, I stumbled upon a fantastic sale on Philips Hue bulbs, making it an excellent time to expand my setup. If anyone has tips on optimizing their Hue experience or favorite integrations, I’m all ears!
Let’s keep the ideas flowing and continue to innovate together. Happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
