Exploring MQTT Efficiency and Device Integration

Hey everyone, I’m diving into the world of MQTT and Z-Wave device integration, and I have a few questions and experiences to share. First, I’ve been using the 2.5 MQTT binding to link KNX addresses to the MQTT bus, but I’ve noticed that when one output changes, all outputs send their statuses immediately. This is putting a lot of load on my MQTT broker. Does anyone have tips on how to optimize this so that only the relevant output status is sent upon an update? I’ve included my items and MQTT configuration below for reference.

Another topic I’m curious about is device integration. I recently added a Xiaomi Gateway v3 to my setup, and while most sensors are detected, I’m struggling to find the gateway’s serial number. Does anyone know a reliable method to extract this information? It would be a huge help!

On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with creating custom scenes using my Hue lights and Zigbee binding. It’s been a fun challenge to automate color changes based on daylight conditions. However, I’ve noticed occasional delays and inconsistent color updates. I’m wondering if others have encountered similar issues and how they’ve resolved them.

Lastly, I’m excited about the potential of adding an abstraction layer for locally installed devices. This could make backups and device replacements much smoother. I’d love to hear others’ thoughts on this feature request!

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to your insights and experiences!
