Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts, I wanted to share my recent experience with my newly acquired device and some observations regarding MQTT update rates. After overcoming initial connectivity issues, particularly with signal range, I found a simple yet effective solution by adjusting the internal magnet. This adjustment improved the range significantly, allowing for reliable operation at a distance of 1 cm or more. However, I’ve noticed that the MQTT update rate is set to approximately every 5 minutes. While this is great for real-time data like lux values, I’m concerned about the long-term impact on battery life. Does anyone else experience this, and are there any strategies to optimize battery usage without compromising functionality? Additionally, I’m curious about the correct plate configuration for enhanced features, as I only received one plate with 5-6 crossbars. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Best regards, Matthias
