I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my Amazon Echo setup, but I must admit, the multi-room music feature has been a bit of a puzzle for me. I have five Echo Dots and one Echo Show, all working beautifully in different parts of my home. However, there’s been this recurring issue with my office group. It keeps switching to this mysterious ‘AMZ’ network, which is frustrating because I want everything to stay connected to my main Wi-Fi. I’ve tried resetting the devices, creating new groups, and even shuffling the Echoes around, but the problem persists.
The strangest part is that this ‘AMZ’ network somehow connects to one of my other groups, but not the others. It’s like a selective connection issue. I’ve spent hours troubleshooting, and while I love Amazon’s products, this multi-room music quirk has been a bit of a letdown. I’ve seen others mention similar issues, and it seems like rebooting or improving Wi-Fi strength are the usual fixes, but I’m hoping there’s a more permanent solution out there.
Despite the hiccups, I’m still a huge fan of Amazon’s ecosystem. The convenience of controlling music across multiple rooms is unmatched, and I can’t wait for this kink to be worked out. If anyone has any tips or insights, I’d be thrilled to hear them! Let’s keep the music flowing smoothly across all our devices. ![]()
