Exploring Music Assistant and Roomba Integration in Home Automation

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of home automation lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with the community. I recently started using Music Assistant with Home Assistant (OS) and switched to the Beta version to access the playlist controls mentioned in the documentation. However, I’m a bit puzzled because I can’t seem to find the massplaymedia action in my available actions. I’ve set up my NAS to serve as a DLNA server and have my music files stored on Home Assistant via NFS. Everything seems in place, but the playlist functionality is still eluding me. Has anyone else encountered this or have tips on how to get it working smoothly?

On another note, I’ve been using the Roomba Integration for about six months and it’s been fantastic. However, recently my Roomba stopped running its schedule, and I noticed connection errors in the logs. I updated everything to the latest version, but the issue persists. The logs keep showing connection refused errors. I’m not sure if it’s a network issue or something else. Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated!

Lastly, I just purchased a Nest thermostat and I’m excited to integrate it into my setup. I have a few questions about optimizing its performance and ensuring it works seamlessly with my existing smart home ecosystem. If anyone has tips or experiences to share, I’d love to hear them!

It’s amazing how much potential there is with these tools, and I’m grateful for the supportive community that helps us all navigate the learning curve. Looking forward to your thoughts and experiences!
