Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and came across something pretty interesting. Nanoleaf recently released their 4D product, which syncs a camera with a light strip to your TV and other Nanoleaf devices. It reminds me a lot of Govee’s DreamView, which has been around for a while. I thought it’d be fun to compare the two and see how they stack up against each other.
First off, both products aim to enhance your viewing experience by syncing lights with your TV content. Nanoleaf’s integration with their existing ecosystem is a big plus, especially if you already have Nanoleaf products. However, Govee’s DreamView has been out longer, which might mean it’s had more time to refine its features.
I’m curious to see if there’s any patented technology involved here, as it’s surprising that the designs are so similar. It would be interesting to see how this plays out in the market.
On a different note, I’ve been experimenting with automations in my setup. I created a rule where my lights dim when I watch movies, but sometimes it doesn’t work as expected. It’s been a bit frustrating, but I’m learning a lot through trial and error.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Nanoleaf 4D and Govee DreamView comparison, as well as any tips you might have for troubleshooting automation issues. Let’s keep the discussion positive and collaborative! ![]()
