Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home devices lately, and it’s been an exciting journey. I wanted to share some of my experiences and maybe get some tips from the community on a few challenges I’ve encountered.
First off, I recently picked up the Govee Strip Light with Skyline Kit and it’s been a game-changer for my living room ambiance. The colors are vibrant and the setup was super easy. I’m really impressed with how customizable it is, and I can’t wait to try out the new Easter Festival colors that just got released! 
On the other hand, I’ve been having some trouble with my GoControl WA00Z-1 Wireless Remote Switch. I’m using UI5 on a VeraLite, and whenever I try to add this new controller, I get an error message saying it failed to get the version number. I did some digging and it seems like the Vera doesn’t officially support it yet. Has anyone else had success with this device? I’d love to find a workaround or some advanced settings I can tweak to get it working.
Another thing I’ve been curious about is automation for my garage door. I have a Linear Nortek garage door controller, and I’d love to set it up so that the door automatically closes after a certain time if it’s left open. I’ve heard that this can be done with some smart apps, but I’m not entirely sure how to go about it. Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated!
Finally, I wanted to touch on the Spotify integration with Echo Show 15. I’ve seen others mention issues with getting the full Spotify app to work, but I’d love to hear if anyone has found a solution. I’d love to be able to browse all my playlists and songs directly from the Echo Show without having to use my phone.
